Visit to the Cabrini Malvern Hospital in Australia.
From March 10 to 14, MSC General Superior Sr. Maria Eliane Azevedo Da Silva, Assistant General Sr. Stella Maris Elena and Financial Director Mr. Greg
Lane, accompanied by the Provincial Superior, Sr. Diane Olmstead, paid an important visit to Australia to learn about the services offered, the work and
financial situation, and to give a boost to the continuity of the great Cabrinian mission in Melbourne, Australia.
In addition to hospital services, Cabrini Health in Australia carries out other ministries such as mental health care for women, pastoral activities and assistance to migrants and refugees in different buildings and
locations in Melbourne. During their time in Melbourne, there were several meetings with the Board of Directors, the Pastoral Team, the Women's Mental Health Care Team and the Refugee and Immigrant Care Team. On the last day, a lunch was held with Msgr. Peter Andrew Comensoli, Archbishop of Melbourne, where it was possible to share the different initiatives and enjoy a valuable exchange.
On the third day of the visit, a Mass was held in the hospital chapel, commemorating Sr. Beatriz Santos MSC who died on January 21, followed by a meal with Sr. Teresa Cervasio MSC.
Sr. Maria Eliane thanked Ms. Sue Williams, CEO of the hospital, and the her team for their commitment to the legacy of Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini and for the quality of the Cabrini Health programs.
The Provincial Superior's visit also reaffirmed the importance of co-responsibility in the mission.
The General Treasurer, Sr. Stella Maris, and the Financial Director, Mr. Greg Lane, were able to learn about the administrative and financial management as well as the innovative processes
and progress made.
