Our mission around the world
On November 14, 1880 Mother Cabrini founded the Institute of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
In her life, she traveled to Europe, Central and South America and throughout the United States. She made 23 trans-Atlantic crossings and established 67 institutions: schools, hospitals and orphanages.
Today, the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and their lay collaborators are carrying on the mission of Mother Cabrini, ministering on six continents and in fifteen countries in the world, bringing the Love of Jesus until the ends of the Earth.

In these countries, we strive to carry out the mission and charism of Mother Cabrini who continues to inspire us for evangelization, education, health care, working with the poor and underprivileged, with people of all colors, nationalities and languages, in developed and developing nations. We seek to respond to the local needs of children, youth, men and women, and the elders. We collaborate actively with the dedicated laity who serve with us.
