Paraguay

Paraguay is part of the Saint Frances Cabrini Province, along with Argentina and Brazil.

The Paraguay mission was opened by MSC General Superior Mother Lina Colombini on February 2, 2002, at the request of the Bishop of the Diocese of San Lorenzo.

The Sisters who started the mission in Paraguay are: Sr. Terezinha Lumbieri from Brazil, Sr. Carmen Pantano from Argentina, and Sr. Ana Gilma Argueta Cifuentes. The mission emerged from the collaboration between the Province of Brazil, the Central American Region and the Argentine Region.

The Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart continue theirs today in Paraguay in the city of San Lorenzo, carrying out various pastoral activities and serving the local community.

If you would like to receive updates on the mission in Paraguay, follow the St. Frances Cabrini Province Facebook Page and Instagram, or write to us at info@cabriniworld.org. We will put you in touch with the sisters in that geographical area.

Thank you!
